50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS FOR THE SOUTH WALES BRANCH

The First 50th Anniversary Celebration event for the Association is on March 24th 2012, at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The South Wales Committee asked the Committee of North Wales if they wished to join them in this prestigious event again

The Musical Team for the Joint Concert is :-

Mr Alwyn Humphreys OBE
Mr Caradog Williams is the Joint Festival Accompanist
Mr Huw Tregelles Williams OBE is the Joint Festival Organist.

The Second Event is a Celebration Dinner/Dance at the Towers Hotel in Jersey Marine. This is on April 21st 2012, which is near to the date the Association was formed in Cardiff in 1962, again we are hoping that all member choirs will send 2 representatives to make this a very memorable evening. This is a huge milestone since the formation of the Welsh Association of Male Choirs (South Wales Branch)

The Third Event is a Tour to Russia on August 18th to August 30th 2012, this is open to all our member choirs, who wish to participate in this tremendous tour. This tour is being organized for the Association by Melody Music of Cardiff, Melody Music organized our tour to South Africa to celebrate our 40th Anniversary in 2002, and then to New Zealand and Australia in 2004. We have had a number of interested choirs wishing to take part and the closing date is June 30th 2010.

There will be a Gymanfa Ganu organized for member choirs to participate in Tabernacle Chapel Morriston, the date for this event will be announced later.
